Good luck with the fight Ken from all here at NewV1c Regards Chris Again, from all of us at Gateway SFC, Leicester, we support you in your principled stand against the outrageous opportunistic attitude of your management team over negotiations. A union is, indeed, a union of all members and it is uplifting to hear that you are sticking together in support of every single member. Only two years ago, we had 5 days of strike action before our SLT caved in to all of our demands about observations. Keep up your action and you will win! From all 62 comrades at Gateway. Alan Murray (Joint NUT Rep) Hi, we are sending solidarity greetings from Lambeth NUT for your strike next week. You have show great courage and strength in doing what is not easy and organising a strike in a school. It is difficult to take on Headteachers and governors, but you do it on behalf of all teachers who are facing a regime of lesson observations and pay restrictions that are driving so many teachers out of the profession. We will spread the message to our members of your principled stand and look forward to you winning better working conditions. We always remember that the teachers'working conditions are the students' learning conditions. Good luck. Yours in peace and solidarityDear fellow teachers, We were shocked but unfortunately not surprised to hear how you are being treated by the management at your school. National Organiser National Union of TeachersDear Tech City teachers - I would like to send you my support at taking action against the unfair, unreasonable policies which your SMT are imposing upon you. I am a member of the John Roan school in Greenwich and we recently took strike action over similar unreasonable policies being introduced by our new Headteacher. I am so proud that our strong NUT group were resolute in taking the action so that the school was effectively closed on 2 days and we were prepared to take more days of action but with mediation from the Head of Children’s Services our Headteacher, Chair of Governors and SLT did finally negotiate and we now have policies we feel we can work with. So stay strong, take your action and be proud that you are standing together for your own wellbeing and professionalism and for the good of the students in your school. Strength in Unity, Siobhan McCauley, SENCo. NUT member at The John Roan School, Greenwich. Solidarity greetings from Croydon NUT for your strike next week on PM, observations and pay. The action you took last year on recognition was referenced by Croydon NUT officers at the consultation meeting for the proposed STEM at South Norwood Police Station. Along with hostile comments from the local community we were able to chase them out of our borough. Every success for your action. Dave Harvey
