STEM 6 Action - Support messages

Delighted you have so many messages of support and I write simply to wish you and NUT well in this and preparedness of the Union to represent members in any situation.

All my best regards,

Jeremy Corbyn MP

I fully support this strike action  - union recognition should be a formality not a battle

Joe Calouri

Executive Member for Education

Islington Council

Dear Colleagues

i have been told by our Islington NUT officers about the totally unacceptable terms and conditions at STEM 6 Academy that you are being asked to sign up to.
I have also been told of your determination to resist this pressure and to fight for conditions similar to those enjoyed by teachers in other Islington schools and for the recognition of your employer of your right to be represented by the trade union of your choice.
I would like to welcome to our union those of you who are new to the NUT and to assure all of you of its full support in achieving your fully justified objectives.

Looking forward to meeting you at some point in the future.

Dear Friends,

Rather belatedly NUT members at Hanover Primary School agreed yesterday to send you a message expressing solidarity with you in your campaign for union recognition and for fair contracts, and to support your strike action.

Since we agreed that we have received news that the strike action has been postponed because union recognition has been achieved and a union negotiation with management will begin.

Congratulations on getting union recognition and good luck with your campaign for fair contracts.

That's great news. Who the hell do these people think they are treating their staff like that.

Give my congratulations to the teachers there.

Great news and should give others in the same position strength to resist .
